"Hand-dyed wool from Rohrspatz & Wollmeise is affectionately known as Wollmeise or Meise among wool enthusiasts. The Twin, Pure, and Lace qualities are quite well-known, but there are also two thicker yarn weights: Blend and DK. A pilgrimage to the Meise paradise in Pfaffenhofen was on the agenda."
A sensationally beautiful shop. In every respect! We were warmly greeted by the customers in the entrance area. "You can store your jacket and bag there..." The shelves are spacious, so there's no squabbling. A large table with a wooden roller and winder is available for winding the purchased 300g of lace yarn directly into cakes. Six stations alone invite you to knit and choose colors using collective intelligence.
The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by 2-seater sofa sets, plenty of storage space, coffee service, free water and juice, and dangerous sweets.
But I can tell you that I only noticed all of this about two hours after entering the light-filled shop, because I was immediately captivated by the COLORS OF THE WOLLMEISEN. It was like hypnosis!
All shelves are sorted by type and labeled (including price) and grouped by color within the compartments.
We met there as a group of > 10 knitting sisters from all over Germany and for this reason the dear Rohrsparatz looked after us very well until 6 pm.
